Hello Hunter, the southeast Florida market is still very active.

I also suspect the hotel lobby has mounted a shadow campaign against them for years.The news is not all bad, the City of Henderson (basically Southeast Vegas) voted to allow short term rentals just recently.

And more quiet residential solid class B neighborhoods like Raleigh and Southeast Memphis.I am co-sponsor in several commercial multifamily deals in Memphis along with operators/sponsors who own large portfolios including thousands of units in Memphis.Not all deals are home-runs, but all deals make money.

Currently, I'm attempting to syndicate my first few multifamily developments near universities throughout the Southeast.

As far as crime here in Huntsville we don't have the issues that most towns in the South East have that is due to very low unemployment and police force that doesn't have a lot to do. 

I personally foresee continued growth in the Atlanta metro, and south east GA(Savannah) areas. 

I am looking into purchasing new construction property on the south east side on Denison near down town.

I think what's happening is lots of floating rate debt and bridge loans were taken out on deals in TX and the Southeast.  

This technique worked very well for me in areas like south east seminole heights and west Tampa.
