The rent mostly covers costs (prop taxes, mortgage 600 a month, prop mgr 7%, insurance $500 a year), with a small profit, maybe $100 a month.TRAVISCAD raised our property taxes this year over 50%, valuing the house at 435k from 286k  (yes I'm fighting it, but sense a losing battle as they raised the land value and not really the house/improvement value).

We passed attorney review, my home inspector didn't check the roof so i'm paying extra on a $550 inspection. quoted $400 for a roof inspection that should take 20 minutes, something just didn't smell right so i went away from my recommendation and chose a local guy for $125.
