Even if we address the past two years experience as anomaly and say that historically speaking, RE proved to be good hedge against inflation and appreciation is at least as good as the stock market, we are still talking locality and it is hard to predict the long term direction of any given locality.

Hello BP members,I am considering getting into a rent to own contract on a house I own.The market of this house appreciate pretty dramatically in the last couple of years (10%-15%)realtor that is putting together the deal explain estimate for the next few years are 10% and claim 5% per year appreciation for 3 years is their standard . of course, no one can predict if market will keep going up this way but ..Are there any standard rules reg setting the purchase price of the house by the end of term?
