I am self-employed, and even though I have a sparkly credit rating and plenty of savings to make the cut, meeting the underwriters' requests turned into an extra part-time job for several weeks.

Rich dad poor dad was the book that sparked my desire in real estate investing. 

A deeper part of my consciousness grabbed on to that and it started a tiny spark. 

However, what sparked with is I had emailed some apartment applications to prospective tenants, and they returned them by filling them in electronically.

My interest in real estate actually was sparked in one of my finance classes!

Thanks Joel,  I love the idea of a right to continued marketing clause, especially because we have a property which I suspect may spark additional offers if it gets around that someone has made an offer.
