I love my work however I need to supplement my income with a more lucrative retirement plan so I am not a slave to the profession unable to step away.

Why would I expect a person in a profession that doesn't even require a HS Diploma to be diligent?

I've recently done a couple investments around KC, but the contractors I used for various professions burned me and cost me precious time and money.

I plan to transfer companies of the same profession but until I do will be making the commute between home and work 2 hr drive.

I'm flipping a house currently (I'm pretty new to the profession), and I just recently found out that the old floor tiles are almost definitely asbestos tiles.

It's been a great learning experience with several healthy headaches, but I'm definitely ready to make a move into a larger home with central AC as Texas temps break the 100's way too often.On the profession side, I spent the past 7 and a half years in insurance, and in mid-2017, I began saving up for the jump to real estate so I could immerse myself in the industry (and hopefully pick up a few good deals along the way).

I will admit now that my profession combined with my expensive market can force me out of buying properties anytime soon, but my motivation and interest in this field has overcome that fear.

My profession is Purchasing Manager for a fortune 100 auto retailer, and I have been with them for almost 25 years in a few different roles.  

Maybe they don't want to call out someone else in their profession?
