I told them I had meticulous records of maintenance and could send them my roofer's report, but then they just told me the 90-year-old roof was at the end of it's useful life.I called the homeowner's that insured our primary home, a 1926 Craftsman bungalow also with a slate roof and explained my situation up front so I wouldn't have the same problem later. 

BUT they had virtually rebuilt this entire home, every wall, window, door, hardwood flooring, siding, roof, all new mechanicals etc etc was meticulously replaced.

I'll be sure to ask a ton of questions and challenge him to look at everything meticulously.

I'm meticulous with my accounts and am confident that I can file an accurate tax return myself.What I'm looking for is someone who can think strategically and provide valuable advice. 

But I also enjoy accounting, meticulously tracking costs  and analyzing numbers.  

I got the forms and meticulously read the instructions from the IRS.  

Although, after he helped me use his table saw to cut some screen doors I saw how meticulous he was.
