I understand the state laws regarding wholesaling in NY are tricky, but is it worth it to spend the money to have lawyers review or draw up my contracts?

At the same time, talk to multiple lawyers in your area--your area--that specialize in evictions and are in that court room ---your specific areas court room--all the time.

My lawyer friend who owned 30 rentals at one point told me the same thing.

I've also heard some lawyers argue that having the deed in the LLC but the mortgage in your name pierces the corporate veil.  

Should I talk to a lawyer, Title Company?  

I'm sure the people that felt they were losing chances at money started crying, real estate brokers, stock brokers, business brokers, lawyers and they had their lobbyist go to work at various capitols passing laws to steer the money back to them. 

This is definitely making me rethink if it's a worthwhile gamble (especially considering the owner that is bey foreclosed on is supposedly a lawyer).

Lawyers, police, emotional stress, your name associated with a shooting, stigma on your building, opportunity cost by being distracted, possible jail time... none of that is good for business.
