Does converting to sub-meters also require any permits or licences? 

Is your partner a licensed gc or do you have to have a licenced gc for the bank to loan to your LLC?

At least in Idaho, a business licence is issued by your municipality, not your state.

My husband just passed his test and is about to get his licence.

I recently passed the exam to become licenced here in Michigan.  

If you plan to use your real estate licence primarily (or solely) for your own investing, finding such a brokerage at which to hang your licence would be beneficial.

My primary motivation for getting my brokers licence was for the same reasons described by @Latisha Haynes Many of my creative deals on the MLS were getting screwed up by agents.
