So it's NOT a "bad" cash-flowing property, it's simply one requiring PATIENCE for it to "bloom" into a cash-cow, right. 

I initially wanted to purchase in Lewisburg but have been looking in many townships including Danville, Bloom, Milton, Lewisburg etc..

@Mike Bloom depending on the class of tenants, you are likely going to have some turn over when you initiate rent raises and that is ok!

I do get the impression that the West Jefferson, NC area is blooming.

For 3 months holding cost you could have gone to Homegoods and gotten two matching ceramic planters and put either flowering plants or fake red blooming azalea bushes from hobby lobby

Now has blooming flowers and green kept grass through all seasons.
