Building codes change and labor and materials go up.

Internal Revenue Code section 707(c) defines a guaranteed payment for capital as payments that are determined "without regard to the income of the partnership". 

Bedroom requirements can change depending on local code.

I actually used to have a game modeled after Monopoly that was called Slumlord😂 same type of antics with buying property, maintenance cards, dealing with code enforcement etc… Bought it at a real estate convention

In Orygun its dark and raining so we over size our windows I would say our homes let in 50% more light than a Lennar house and their windows that are done to minimum UBC code..

Code enforcement is now telling me I only have a 3 unit property, so I have to kick my tenant out of the newly upgraded unit.  

According to the City of Chicago tax code, it costs $5.25 per $500 of the transfer price.

The city recently came and is requiring me to bring it up to code.
