Debt is a deterrent for lawsuits too. 

Aren't they supposed to stop frivolous lawsuits?

Texas law provides significant protections for homestead properties against most creditors, such as credit card lenders or lawsuit judgments, such that your falling behind on payments will not cause you to lose your home.

Things are all over the place, but now that most of the lawsuits are settled, I am thinking there might be a rebuilding.

The lawsuit will be against the syndication and your exposure is the same whether you invest personally or under an entity.

If you fail to follow the rules, you may open your personal assets to a lawsuit.

So that's why I'm trying to organize a joint lawsuit with everyone who has had a similar experience with them.

Under the tax lien system, current law, the investor may file a foreclosure lawsuit when its been at least 3 years since the first auction but no more than 10 years.

I have seen insane assessments or even lawsuits against the management that cause problems on all sides. 

The sadest part about these frivilious law suits and/or claims is that the insurance comapnies almost always give them something, this is why they continue to do this
