If you hired a a thief, and the thief got caught, you're still going to jail.

The ones that were available via an alarm company had good images and compression, but were out of my price range.

In the past, we had set up this particular alarm because we had smokers on the premise.

I decided to make a few minor safety repairs off the bat (including carbon monoxide detectors and smoke alarms- I'm not kidding when I say he was a slum lord!).

I reached out the fire department. they stated that Last month they went on 50 alarms, mostly "hot calls" (siren used),  with 75% of the calls between 2pm and midnight.

I talked to a woman this week in Phoenix who has been paying the bills on her mom's house her in D/FW for 2 years after her mom passed and she inherited the home.  2 years of paying for lawn service, pool service, utilities, security alarm, and property taxes... it was THOUSANDS of dollars just because she wasn't ready to do anything.  

Cost out of pocket:  $3,780 for total repairs.Cost of water leak detectors with alarms: $32.00Lesson learned....priceless.Ibuprofen intake rate...doubled.Spread this story so others don't make this mistake.
