@Kevin S.I recommend putting all properties/accounts into a revocable living trust for estate planning. 

I live in Fairfield County and am looking to invest in a property for house hacking somewhere in New Haven County. 

Trying to do renos with someone living there will only cause problems: long to get renos done, disruption for the tenant and more expensive in the long run. 

I haven't bought a 2-4 unit with the VA loan yet (been living in expensive markets lately) but I will as soon as I exit the military in the next couple of years!

He touts himself as owning 500 of them.. when in fact I suspect but dont know for sure.. the 500 is how many he has sold he might very well own 100s of homes so as he likes to say on BP he can live in FLA and never needs to go CLE.

@Garrett Brown @Matt Mertz My anecdotal thoughts on Broken Bow and Hot Springs would be that we lived in Houston for 13 years, traveled more than anyone in our peer group (probably 10 trips per year drive or fly), and never went to or considered going to either of them.

Prior to NH, he was living in NJ with his girlfriend.
