Ultimately, most investors come to a point where they can handle only so many deals . . . who are they going to share their excess leads with -- their competitors or colleagues?

My concern is that competitors and hackers might do this against a legit business or individual.

Here in Denver, hotels have had record revenues each year for a couple years, so their incentive to push out possible competitors is not as strong.

In a way, regulations help bigger businesses freeze newer small competitors from entering the market.

@John Horner  If you find a house that you think is a perfect deal and you want to buy it, do you go and tell all of your competitors the address?  

I own half a hedge fund, part of another, am the largest investor in my competitors company, all in addition to my own multiple portfolios.

I finally had a Telecom/ infrastructure company open up a hybrid role for me that used my Legal and Due-diligence experience while transitioning me into Project-based RE;  Two years later it wasn't quite working out and I transitioned to a competitor.

We haven't had any issues with people stealing bulbs, but even if they did swipe a few it wouldn't be a deal breaker.
