@Tyler Smith if you are looking to quote out your business there are many carriers that can offer you an insurance quote for all of your properties on 1 policy.

My previous insurance expired and I changed the carrier and got a new insurance under my LLC name.

Some things to keep in mind that apply more broadly are that property taxes can be very high and subject to drastic increases in places like Ohio and Texas and insurance can be super risky in areas like FL where 40% annual increases are not uncommon and carriers are leaving the state in droves.

If the carriers' rules state that the person must be the primary and the LLC Additional Insured, then large numbers of landlords in your state must be doing it this way.

Some agents/carriers will insure an investment property on a personal liability form (which will most likely be cheaper), but cheaper is rarely better when it comes to insurance policies.

Our carrier rates vary all across the country, and I would definitely recommend at least requesting a proposal so you can compare.

Even though it was reported as vacant to NREIG, we were denied the claim by their carrier, due to there being no working smoke detectors found. 

They might have access to other insurance carriers.

I'd be curious to hear about your experience.This appears to be one of the only options I have for insuring my STR in a wildfire area, but I've read some concerning things here in the past about NREIG and the carriers they use.The only other option I've found is with Berkshire Hathaway, and that policy has a $15K / yr price tag, about double the price of the NREIG policy.
