My Insurance Company Is Cancelling Me

I had a new company write coverage on one of my rentals in the Cape Coral area. They recently asked for a 4 point inspection. The inspector found FOUR shingles with issues which would be an easy fix via replacement. However, the insurance company just notified the agent they are cancelling coverage. I am in great shape though. I only have two properties that are mortgaged and require insurance. This is one of two. The others are free and clear and my only coverage on them is liability. I have looked at the numbers. If I have a MAJOR loss, it will result in quite a bit of money out of pocket. If I need to replace a roof on the other hand, my savings in less than two years going self insured more than makes up for what the insurance companies would have charged me. I am going to be happy when I get the last two paid off and I can tell these insurance companies good riddance.
