I briefly spoke to someone from Quicken loans that indicated 2 years but had read elsewhere that's not needed so I appreciate the feedback from someone that can speak from the lending side of things.All of these responses have been able to breathe new life into my RE dream.

I plan on keeping the home long term and pay down to eliminate the MI to give myself some breathing room.My question is this; do I continue to pay down the note and have the home free and clear in 6-7 years and snowball the additional cash flow on to the other property to pay off in 3-4 years then pay off the next in 1-2 years etc. or do I save the money for other opportunities/investment vehicles.

I did most of my building in Coronado, and I'm sure you can guess how strict they are, you need a permit to breathe :-)I've also had issues in Lakeside and El Cajon (County), but definitely City Heights is still the Wild West.
