One year we appealed the assessmnet on 65 of our properties. 

I would take out a private loan on the paid off property to get the other one squared away

Since the yard is already rough, I would keep the shed and see how it works out.Consider adding something to the lease that permits you to remove it from the property if it becomes problematic.

With the property being so old it came with a lot of weird ways of doing things which took a lot of creativity.

Although the list may seem intensive, I look at it like this: The total cost of all these items can be much lower than the cost to repair a hidden surprise after purchasing a property to flip. 

Historically, real estate markets perform best when the economy is stable, with steady mortgage rates and consistent demand for housing and commercial properties.
