Also, there's the time, energy and brain damage of filing and pursuing a small claims lawsuit.You might want to talk with the Seller and see if they might chip in $1000 or so on this, but most sellers are going to tell you no (although it doesn't hurt to ask).My thoughts are you might want to chalk this one up to experience and move on.
