I follow some of the u tube day traders for some fund and excitement they have done pretty good I have gotten great C on C returns on many of their suggestions.. of course its just play money but still % wise it gives me something else to do.. 

Here are some additional things to check for from an Insurance perspective:- Knob & Tube or Aluminum wiring- Asbestos tile, siding or wrapping on pipes- Lead paint (if the building was built prior to 1980 you may need a Lead Safe certification)- flat roof- tenants with pets (find out breed of dogs)- cracked or damaged driveways or walkways- Stairs with out handrails- trees over hanging the property- in ground tanks (active or inactive)- two means of egress from all units- if smoke, CO, fire detectors are hardwired or batterySome of these will cause insurance companies not to write the coverage while others may turn up as recommendations that you will have to fix.   

I found a property that I am interested in but it has knob and tube wiring.

I HIGHLY recommend getting more information about LLCs and other entity options and how they can benefit you for Anonymity and Asset Protection by watching the Clint and Tobias of Anderson Advisors on U-Tube. 

Then as apparently one day as I was watching you tube came across somebody talking about "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and that motived to real estate. 

Wait till spring unless you are willing to tent the house and provide temporary heating that's not those torpedo tube blasters. 

Also during my walk through I noticed what looked like knob and tube wiring in the attic, so I am assuming this same wiring runs through the rest of the house as well, but have not checked into this.  

The house is in decent shape New Furnace New water heater New carpet in main living area New electric service panel and from the mast There is some knob and tube but a lot of it has been re-done guess I'm just a bit iffy on moving forward with this since the house is so old.

The resort is located reasonably close to Falling Water, kayaking/tubing, bike riding, camping… We were surprised that the summers were booked as well.

My 1922 still has three ceiling lamps on knob and tube that's in great shape.
