Before we purchased our 3rd we looked into a beach condo in the Destin/Panama City area, but were quickly turned off because there were a lot of hangups with the condos that we didn't want to deal with, and there are also a lot more fees and taxes needed to pay to the city per booking that we just found it not to be as worth it (at this time) than the mountain cabins.

So he is now switching his advertising attention from urban travel to other travel destinations (e.g., out of Paris and toward Provence or out of San Francisco and toward national parks).

@Tracie Soder sometimes this works a little like UBER - we kind of need to know a destination. 

Online I have seen some sites claim that Gulf Shores brings in significantly more in rental revenue than Destin.

Jason Rector If you want to rent the house during the summer you'll want to be in a tourist heavy area - the west side of st Pete or destin would be good for that.

If you can't run numbers and understand all the variables like HOA's etc for condo's and including those factors along with repairs needed now & future etc as part of your calculations you are destined for failure.  

This is a hot destination and I have a friend who is renting an investment via AIR B&B and he is doing well with it.Bob

We are looking to do more Buy and Hold with Long term renters, but open to Airbnb focused destinations too.
