And what we found as a small mom-and-pop business is that among the lower class exists a very subtle sub-culture that almost embraces poverty and free assistance, and has no intention of really working beyond it (to say, buy a house or live in a nicer rental.)

I know there are a lot of nice pre-built structures these day though, and the west coast seem to be embracing that idea more than some other areas.If you are on a city lot you'll probably already have public water and sewer- but be sure to find out if they are already ON the property or just available to the property.

We are largely dependent on lower wage employment like hospitality/restaurant and tourism so many of those people that do own will be in trouble and likely go into foreclosure or do loan mods which will also get them in trouble down the line.
