Hello @Mark Kumm ,Many would-be flippers buy a dilapidated property, remodel it to their own taste, discover that they can't sell the property for what they need to break even, run out of money and sell at a loss.

An investment property loan through most big banks will require a 20% down payment and the taste will be a little higher then for owner occupants.

They are not nice enough for my taste and B they are leased and making money.would I ever be underwritten for a primary residence mortgage in this case?

Once you get a taste for that it will be easier to decide if you want to do either on a larger scale in the future.I started out rehabbing houses and am now 100% focused on rentals but I am comfortable doing large scale rehabs on a rental property as long as I'm the owner at the end (not doing the work for resale).Hope this helps guide you in the right direction!

Since I now have the inspection report, which revealed additional problems not disclosed by the seller, I'm considering revising my second offer.Would revising my offer be in poor taste?
