one large disadvantage  - if you need financing on it  - loans are not the easies to locate for condotels and for the options that  are out there - pricing is higher than " normal pproperty

I was told by the mortgage broker that as long as I have a legitimate business and intend to occupy sat least 50% of the square feet it is possible.I am open to other forms of loans but I heard that SBA will normally do 90%.

It's a bit higher than normal if you choose both, so if you do the criminal and rental checks you could get away with credit only for $20 which I think is typical.

@Linda MalavetThere is a special rule regarding taxation and collecting rent payments.Rent payments are normally taxed in the year collected.Therefore - I am not sure what the tax difference would be from having a 35 month lease vs a 36 month lease.
