I believe we are in a period of slow national growth for the next couple years, but that doesn't mean certain areas can't thrive.  

When I was in Ohio, our local town market was terribly depressed. 10 miles away a town the same size, same housing stock, was thriving.

But property managers will thrive.  

KW is probably the most closely related to a small firm that will allow you to do your own thing, and they offer that "power of positivity" attitude (some people find it silly, others thrive on it).

I think gentrification is necessary to help inner city to grow and thrive. 

Michigan is a great state to invest and the state is once again thriving :D
