Just to note, The border between Sharswood and Brewerytown starts at 27th street with Brewerytown on the West to 33rd st. and Sharswood on the East to Ridge Ave. 

It is located within the city of Toledo, but is on the border with Springfield township, which is where holland is located.

The area surrounding Forest Hills is pretty reasonable.American Village - Just west of Duke's campus, large 80's-90s era family homes and the area south of campus bordering MLK but before you get to Hope Valley for affordable 2-3 bedroom houses on big lots.

., higher income people seem to have addresses closer to that) so I think a lot of the houses on the border were great investments for those who got them at the right times.

I feel here in Oklahoma we do have a delayed reaction to border states on economy.  

I live right on the border of LA and Orange County, and I know both if those cities are a tough hill to climb, especially for a newb with no money. 

Keep in mind we are pretty much in prime rental time here in this area.There is only 1 rental available currently in Plainville on the MLS and it is a 2 bedroom houseOn Zillow/Postlets/Trulia there are only 6 apartments for rent and none are 3 bedroomsOn Craigslist there is only 1 other 3 bedroom for rent that I can see and the last post for that apartment was over a week ago.To give you an idea of the location, the town is located in between Hartford and Waterbury (2 major cities) and borders New Britain (a mid-sized city) directly off I-84 (major interstate) and located in Plainville is GE (a major employer) and ESPN is within 2-3 miles of Plainville as well. 

-I see from doing a little research that the Duluth/Superior area has nearly 300,000 people, I'm guessing that more than half of them are in MN but also that you'd be open to deals in either state, since you're right on the border.

Include the new Dell medical center and med school located right on the border of East Austin and you will see an area that has tremendous growth potential for doctors, nurses and other support staff that don't want to face the traffic.
