They can still do ports but with restrictions, and then they'll give you a blended rate, and the 2 mortgage components don't ever come due at the same time, and it's messy.

Give back the deposit based on that and re-request a deposit from him.Seems like a lot more work but breakups can get messy and emotional.

Sincerely,Javier You already answered the 203K question; it depends on the amount of renovations you want to do which conversely depends on how much of a mess the property is in and even deeper how much of a solid deal you can make because the property is a mess.:)  I think you get 140 days to complete the project and it must start within 30 days of closing.Call Scott Rockhill at Capital Bank.

We also were contemplating buying properties in a LLC but decided against it for the reason you mentioned about lack of conventional financing and it would potentially make things a little messy down the road if either of us wanted to free up capital.We decided to acquire properties in one of the partners name and generate a joint venture agreement for each property.
