We attended quite a few meetups and took everything we could from the speakers and utilized it to the max.

I heard of Rolfe's books on mobile home park investing because it was recommended by one of the BP's guest speakers.

Join the Rarebird organization.. run by two very experienced folks in the space 30 to 50 members come every month guest speakers..no pitching..and you can make some nice contacts.the market is Oregon you will find to be quite different than most of GA.. there simply is not the amount of distressed assets.

there are at least 12 backend fulfillment companies in Utah that are the back end for virtually every real estate training program in the US.. its a HUGE business and most gurus need them .. its a ton of up front money to put on these events.but its not only real estate guru's its sales training guru's  motivational speakers etc etc.. like I said this is a HUGE business and for whatever reason Utah is ground zero for all but I think rich dad which is based out of FLA

Introductions are great but no speakers just a get together to say hello.

On a vertical wood framed wall, even with insulation between studs, sound will carry from drywall on one side, through the the studs, and be amplified a bit by the drywall on the other side like a crude speaker or like the old tin can and string "phone".

Just look at who they associate with, the speakers they have at their events, and the people on their show.
