Looking to build a boots on the ground team that can really guide me in the right direction and be my eyes and ears.

Any person who can achieve property ownership, and then help others have a roof over their heads is a person worth high praise. 

Learn how to properly assess and QC the excavation and foundation phase, framing, roofing, siding, windows, etc.

Inspections--house, termite, possibly separate roof and structural8. 

Additionally to that I am looking to expand into 3 other markets but I have boots on the ground in those areas.

Hey @Trevor Scheumann, The biggest thing to look for when visiting a new potential market is going to be to network with boots on the ground, namely property managers, highly recommended realtors and maybe a few contractors if they come from trusted sources.

This is specific to this, I have the detailed 411 on this, including full background on seller, why selling, how things have gone, maintenance history and recent updates/upgrades such as the newer roof, HVAC etc etc etc... 

She bought a condo with lower-than-average dues, but a few months in, the HOA announced a special assessment for roof repairs.

And I found QBO to be awful and not intuitive at all...and I'm a CPA to boot.

That where your agents boots on the ground expertise comes in to land you actual deals.
