I don't think anything ever got shut off and required a reconnect fee, because they were right on top of it, but I could see that being a big problem with a chronically late tenant or one where the utility company won't notify you ahead of time.

It had been abandoned for several years, so we had to get the gas lines pressure tested before we could have the gas company reconnect us.Our plumber was so slow that I was mentally rehearsing CPR - but even dead people move faster than him.

As such, power outages and down cable lines are commonplace.We recently added Ring Doorbells and have noticed that every time the power goes out, one of the two units fails to reconnect when the power goes back on.Questions for y'all:1) Does anyone know if this is a device issue or a flaw in the software?

I'm using Wave for my accounting software right now which used to work great, but now that I have it connected to 30+ bank accounts, there's some glitch that disconnects the accounts every month, and it takes an hour+ to reconnect them.

FWIW I’ve had personal experience with Nest X Yale (pulled for lack of reliability when entering codes for guests), Yale with August (if WiFi goes down it won’t reconnect automatically), Schlage Connect with Smartthings (comparable to Yale Assure but a bit more finicky), eRental lock & out current # 1 Yale Assure with Smartthings + Rboy.
