I know of a few houses that they have as single men's apartments that charge about $140 a Week for bug infested, drug dealing, drunken roofer type guys.

Now that I have moved in I see that the home has a rat infestation.

There were no big surprises on this one except for having to install all new duct work due to rodent infestation. 

And the fact that, even though buyer agents are supposed to be protecting you, they seem not really to care anything about the home buyer, other than the sale being completed so that they get paid.I've alerted my agent to the possible termite infestation issue and all the agent replied with was that the termite issue can be fixed. 

I am looking to purchase a duplex in Chicago with a built out basement, but the inspector was able to access the main support beam and found it was rotten or termite infested.

Not a very extensive rehab is required; however, upon inspections an active termite infestation was discovered.

Most of the inspection was really minor stuff aside from a bed bug infestation in 2 (if not 3) of the units.

I think the age of the condos really matter also. the condo i ended up keeping it was built in 64, and original cabinets were rotted out and infested.
