I wouldn't focus singularly on individual city initiatives/projects and would recommend focusing more on fundamentals.

It will help round you into a more complete individual as you continue to develop and mature.

But I’m cool with what I have and now a happy wife, so I’ll stop buying rentals and stay away from Zillow. lol  Most of us want a life partner, but individual wants, fears, and desires don't always allow for this. seems like you found what works for you and your wife, which is great.
