So you know, a self-directed IRA is no different than any other IRA with respect to rollovers, transfers, contributions, distributions, beneficiaries, etc.  

Otherwise, if the lease is not terminated or renewed, they'll roll over into a month-to-month.

To facilitate my ability to make said purchases, I transferred 401(k)'s from prior employers (administered by Fidelity) to a new custodian (IRA Services Trust Co) into a rollover IRA.  

Justin, at this point I would love to hear a few personal stories from others regarding their 401k rollovers.  

A trust must be established, a solo 401k plan put in place, obtain and EIN, open a checking account, and roll over funds from existing IRA accounts.

I am wanting opinions/advise on where to invest my money from a 1031 rollover. 

Turnkey properties seem to be a good entry level for someone who already has a 50 hour a week job.Could I rollover one of my IRAs to a Self Directed IRA then use that money to invest in turnkey property.  

Short version is that the create a c-Corp with a profit sharing plan, you rollover your 401k into that plan and the only investment is to purchase all of the c-Corp stock.

However, I'm looking a bit ahead when I will have access to rollover IRA assets that might be employed in a passive income scenario while also providing overall diversity to my entire retirement program. 

You may be able to rollover the loan from the current plan to a new plan, depending on the current administrator.
