I have RIGL 45-24-37 bookmarked which says:an accessory family dwelling unit in an owner-occupied, single-family residence shall be permitted as a reasonable accommodation for family members with disabilities or who are sixty-two (62) years of age or older, or to accommodate other family members.

As far as accessory storage and things like drawer organizers . . . . these things don't tend to have a tangible ROI, but but but . . . they can reduce the friction-points in a home that lead to tenants turning over more often than is good.

@Nikki Closser similar story: we recently closed on our first investment property three days before closing on our new primary residence lol :-) We also relocated, sold our house in Los Angeles - which we had rented out with Airbnb and had built an Accessory Dwelling Unit in the backyard, and moved to Columbus Ohio.
