Contract template for Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU)?

Hi, does anyone have a resource template they can point me to for writing up a contract for a detached ADU new construction in southern California? Or will a general remodeling/renovation contract template work? I've heard of Rocket Lawyer, but when I went to the site it looked like they only had a "home renovation" contract template. I know California has different laws than other states, but I'm not entirely sure what they are, but it would be nice to use a California specific one as a starting point and then have a California real estate lawyer review it.

Contractors will use their own contracts always. That is not a discussion. Why would they surrender their rights to you who could simply not pay? For what you are talking about, an ADU, this is not a big enough contract for you to be fussing over the details and trying to play lawyer by writing your own. I'll be honest, you are spending a lot of time in the weeds and not enough time in the forest. Get out there and get one done. And if there is something you don't like in a contract, ask the contractor to strike or amend it. Just a suggestion.
