There's a standard syndication that goes out to sites like Zillow, Redfin etc that is included when it is listed in the MLS; hence why people can find properties from across the country. 

The value of the property and how it’s distributed relative to ownership stakes will determine whether it counts as a taxable event, I believe(I’m not a CPA or attorney). 

The issue is that you cant cold call people in New York 

We are from there originally and travel to the area to see family and the explosion of the number of people traveling to the Hocking Hills has made it the 3rd most visited place in the state of Ohio behind Cedar Point, Kings Island.

People don't read STR descriptions you see this alot with international properties where people expect US standards.

You get to show buyers the same models over and over and do not take people all over town.
