Be mindful that there are several advocacy and legal aid groups only too happy to assist any tenant applicant who is told by a landlord that service animals require a different rent or deposit, or that the landlord will not make a reasonable accommodation. 

I would suggest contacting a local tenant's right advocacy service if this arises as most tenant fail to follow the proper steps in this regards

I bet there are some tenant advocacy groups that can help.

It came up with a bunch of tenant advocacy sites addressing this as well as other issues from the tenants' perspective.

I will not give any prospective tenant any reason to seek government advocacy because they have heard about this ruling.
