In most cases, soldiers want to find a property that rents (or get a mortgage payment) for less than what the BAH is, that way they can pocket the excess.

Current military systems prevent soldiers from learning how to "adult."

Hello, Currently an active Army Soldier stationed at Fort Knox and retiring after 20 years of service Oct 28!

Really been loving the wisdom and networking here.I have a Lease with Option to buy for 5 years...in the 2nd year now...have a tenant in the property that has paid on time for 2 years like clockwork.Bought it from a soldier who now wants to get out of his VA...Tenant does not qualify traditionally for a mortgage. 

A lot of my soldiers and me included did the same and still am contributing to my TSP.

There is a less than zero chance any action would be brought against an active duty soldier with TDY and CS orders. 

I am an Active Duty Soldier in the US Army, and due to the nature of military I have to relocate every 3 years or so.
