I'm very interested in vacation homes, especially in the Caribbean.

Keep in mind Belize is one of the cheaper spots for land, definitely in the Caribbean side and definitely compared to other Central America countries. 

Mind you, the Caribbean coast of Mexico has the same issue, as the Caribbean and Florida.
