Ask for advice, hop on a flight, and by the time I have internet access again I have several thoughtful and insightful responses.

The cost of the flight shouldn't be cost prohibitive at this point.

Thanks, Dan Dietz The price of a definitive answer here would be to submit all paperwork and a full app to an investor friendly lender and pre-flight it, since three different underwriters will give you five different answers on how the guidelines are to be interpreted. 

There are some local parks that are nice, there are flight tours at the airport a minute away, shopping, great foodie area if you are willing to drive out ten minutes, twenty minute drive to SeaTac Airport.

Don't try and deal with the payments in flight and all that stuff with the existing booking, it's not worth it in the end. 

If someone falls down a flight of icy concrete steps in January in Chicago, that's why you have insurance.

Not all states comply with the new DHS rules and for those that don't, residents of those states will eventually need a passport to board an airplane even for a domestic flight.
