Now that this has been said after doing some more research on this subject in the Nec I found that there is an article that pretains to this it is article 210.25(b) "common area branch circuits. branch circuits installed for the purpose of lighting, central alarm, signal, communications, or other purposes for public or common areas of a two family dwelling, a multifamily dwelling, or multi occupancy buildings shall not be supplied by equipment that supplies and individual dwelling unit or tenant space."

Unfortunately, just like the one rotten pet owner who ruins it for the rest, these folks did the same -- - After giving notice they stayed on 4 more weeks, forcing court eviction; - All toilets, sinks and tubs clogged; - Such a mess that it cost $400 to clean; - Theft of several security yard signs and motion sensor alarms; - and worst of all: a ROACH INFESTATION the likes of which I have never seen (one literally could not walk across the kitchen without multiple roaches crawling up your leg!).

So, I put a wireless alarm system into each of my units, so that I get an immediate call, if someone's in there.- People can get very nasty, if you have to evict.
