Hi All,Would like to hear from fellow investors about some security camera systems they use in Chicago.

- Smart Locks- Cameras- My phone lolProcesses - Aka my standard operating procedures for...- How trash is handled- Cleaning procedures between each guest- Ordering supplies- Furnishing unitsHave questions about running Airbnbs remotely?  

It includes an allowance for appliances and all finishes which include bamboo and tile flooring, solid wood kitchen cabinets, black or basic stainless appliances, WiFi thermostats, closed circuit camera security, granite counters in kitchens.  

Mine can set door codes, message (or call) guests, schedule cleaners, adjust the thermostat, monitor my cameras, & call a plumber just as easily as a local PM can, for 1% of the costI wrote much more about leveraging offshore assistants in this post here.

We also put a ring door bell or camera on the front and back of the property with smoke sensors and decibel sensors on the interior to record high levels of noise or smoking. 

I've also had people question the agreement which raises a red flag for me (similar to having common area video cameras installed - what are they trying to hide ?). 

I have set us up with remote locks from Yale so the guests get codes, have a handyman that we trust on out team, upgraded our outside cameras, and are interviewing our cleaning team and doing all the things to prep us for doing this remote. 

Besides having a reliable cleaner and handyman, put in a smart lock, smart thermostat, and a Ring doorbell or other outdoor camera.
