Put it under experience in your chronological section - 2000 - present (or whatever) Owner/manager of 2 rental properties: manage tenant relations, negotiated sale, etc.If you do bullet points, you can include something like: experience buying and managing rental properties.I'd think this would be invaluable, as you have real-life experience in not only purchasing, but managing properties and tenants.Congrats on attaining such great experience!

If you are unaware of someone being in the unit, they can't then claim that because you were aware, that they then attained "tenant" status.So, honestly, unless there is a problem of some kind, I'd just turn a blind eye.

No one has mentioned Chicago area ...I know it has its issues and property taxes are not worth mentioning ...however this area has unbeatable returns...15% to 20% cab be easily attained and suburbs do have very good appreciation as long as you stick with reos and buy when there is less activity so u can get good appreciation.Ray
