Last 17 years I have been running work as a superintendent for a general contractor.About the first of the year I was talking with a friend that is in real estate and part of bigger pockets, he has been a inspiration to go out on my own as a general contractor (due to my W2 and cooperate frustrations) and showed me the bigger pockets pod cast that I have been listing to since. 

@Peter HallidayBe careful with mods with higher payments as it can be considered a new loan and require you to qualify the borrowers ability to repay.

Purchased a vacation home late last year in Bullhead ( no option on location for Riverfront cities...need mods involved)We managed to get the place rental ready in less than a month and squeezed a renter in. 3 days of rental income from airbnb. 

So far I’ve been listening to the pod cast real estate rookie and it’s been great information and very inspirational on how everyone is basically a newbie and just went for it and surprisingly had good success just by taking the first step and sticking through it till the end. 

This group has a keen eye for seeing through "sales pitch" posts, as does our mod team.

Where do you live, State and town, this will help the BP community help you because some one local might be able to provide more insight based on the markets in your area.In general I would read a ton of books about investing, listen to pod cast, watch YouTube video and just dump as much information as possible into your brain.  

I have been listening to pod cast for weeks and have learned such a great deal from them.

I will definitely have to consider this into a future analysis before deciding on making any sort mods to the garage.
