I know my wife works in healthcare and there is a lot of assisted-living’s that accept Medicaid patients.

Once an area is listed all over the internet as being #1, it is far too late.Unlimited amounts of potential and already it has blown up with future plans that are already approved for tourism, big time DOD Contractor and Space Industry, residential, health care, educational institute, and commercial development/ expansion.

Oh, and wages have gone down about 20% for the middle class at the same time healthcare has gone up 300%.

I see so many people complain they can't "afford" X (healthcare, better housing, to put money in their 401k, etc.)  

I'm diversified between stocks, bonds, real estate, healthcare industry, and a little crypto (specifically blockchain).  

I just assumed that free health care was better for cash flow than paying for it but would like to get some advice from others.

You will also want to find your niche in this area; some love apartments, some strip centers, others office buildings or even healthcare facilities.

I'm not sure about the number of healthcare workers/mid-long term rental market in the Tahoe area, but I have a STR in the SF Bay Area that we converted first to mid term rental (2 weeks, then 2 months) and now to a long-term rental that we just signed a lease for 12 months.
