Carpet: Why use carpet anywhere given it's prone to staining and not as easy to clean as vinyl?

Can be refinished a few times, and even stained to suit different looks.

Our other property has Marble and it is beautiful but there are a few little stains here and there.

I got the packet and saw there were no cracks in any of the walls, no water stains, and overall the people living there seemed to treat it nicely.

A couple rooms were still stained badly even though they were brand new when she moved in a little over 18 months ago.

The flooring can wait, unless its carpet that is stained and tore up.

Here’s the kicker…she claims her and her kids have been battling Covid back to back for the past month and she went to deep clean and noticed the water stains on the floor.

It won't stain as easily, but will char above 150F if someone sets a hot frying pan down on it.Agree with others. 

He could not determine the cause of the water but saw stains on the blocks. 

I would imagine that they will sand the floor and blend it in with stain,.This issue is the most concerning , the other big ticket item is the missing vapor retarder in the crawlspace under the house.
