Something tipped off the IRS.It’s very hard to know what started the investigation but it could have been as simple as someone feeling they got cheated on a deal and called a lawyer or a discontented employee, an ex girlfriend or ex spouse, etc.The point is, he was breaking the law& I think it’s unlikely the IRS drew his name out of a hat.

wow, if it's cold with that, i can't imagine how cold it would be without the plywood.2 options:1. take everything off, put infloor heating and put hardwood on top of that. or tiles2. take everything off, put furring strips (like 2x4's, but smaller), spray foam the gaps then put plywood back on top. first option is more expensive, more work.

Also, regarding the % of returns, that too appears to be pulled out of some hat by someone and I assume not from William Bannister but quoted from something he found.For instance, deck addition returning such a high % is just not true at all.
