I'm from Sugar Land!

I'm not too keen on mixing money and blood though, I'd rather have a stranger do the work.....it's much easier to work with deals that are biz only and no family drama.

I know several people that have bought in sugar loaf, big bear and arrowhead for a getaway spot as well as some income to subsidized .

Basically blood/sweat/tears valuation.

Fire, flood, or blood call 911 all else can wait until normal business hours.

It has become part of my blood.

If you want someone to blow smoke, there are many gurus who will gladly charge you a lot of money for the exact same advice you just got, except, they will sugar coat everything for you to make you think being a landlord is easier than it is.

Whether it be house hacking, buy and hold, flipping, BRRRR, etc, please enlighten me with your experiences.I would eventually like to buy and settle in a SFR around the Sugar Land area, but I am eager to invest in some rental properties first.

THey actually do pay for a lot; they have paid for everything I have submitted including blood work and surgery.

My partner and I spent years, months and even traveled all over the Keys in our RV to do our due diligence before we found our nest eggs, but we did all this buying before the prices went sky-rocking.I had a friend who is in the home appraisal business (someone who should know better) he was caught renting outside the laws/regs. and they fined him $10,000 (too rich for my blood – LOL).
