If I find a deal on an area I would consider living when I move back I would like to be able to pull the trigger and possibly refinance into an owner-occupier loan once I move back to the US.  

Currently, I have 11 doors under contract. 

The City seems open to it as long as the contracts are structured the right way.

I've been knocking on doors, there is one that seems like it's abandoned, however despite finding the owners name from tax records I cannot seem to get in contract with them to make an offer (despite trying x, y and z). 

We listed strategically and were under contract in 2 weeks in the slowest part of the year (December) whereas all the other similar homes in the neighborhood have been sitting for months and still sitting on the market.

I currently have a 4/2 SFH/LTR/Section 8 house under contract and I am getting quotes for property insurance.

Do you have it under contract?

. :-) back in the day and not a big deal flow.. and all land contracts on bare land.. to put it in perspective. :)
