I'm generalizing the phrase to encompass socially responsible investing ("do well by doing good").For example, tobacco is a legal product, but some people will not invest in companies making these products because of their negative opinion of them ("poisonous tree") and the profits made from selling them ("fruit of the poisonous tree").This thread is about racism, but the idea is the same -- where do you allocate your money (landlords run a business) and still be able to sleep well at night.

The system is clearly broken in more than one spot right now and I hope some enterprising lawyer goes big tobacco on the banks and makes a lot of class action plaintiffs rich!

Or is it redundant & the shellac should sufficiently seal in the tar/tobacco smell?

There is an enzyme spray that I was introduced to about a year ago, I forget what it was called, but it took a house from smelling like a casino in Reno (tobacco smoke) to smelling like nothing in 48 hours it was mind blowing.

I was in one of these for about a month until it came back that I tested positive for tobacco (I used to chew, yummy huh?)

Big burly guys that drive jacked up 4x4s and chew tobacco in their sleep. 

Maybe "finder" for "bird dog" as in the link I posted a few days ago, but say "wholesaler" to anyone outside this site (or select REI circles) and they think about products (tobacco, alcohol, automobiles, etc.) not property.

If you are in a blue collar neighborhood I would suggest getting a commercial license and building a drive-thru that sells liquor and tobacco products.

Probably one many share, be they criminal defense lawyers that get someone they know is guilty off the hook, or someone selling an unhealthy food product in the developing world,  or even those marketing an addictive one like tobacco.
